Inspired by blues and folk, these artists will perform at the FestiBlues on August 14th, bringing the street to the stage. Straight from the blues establishments of New-Orleans, where he still occasionally performs in quaint bars, Bryan Lee feels music is an actual entity in itself. His visual difficulties evolve into a creative force when he is on stage. His musical universe is a very emotional one, and his performance at Ahuntsic Park is going to be no exception.

Now regarded as one of the precursors of blues music, Chuck Lambert is inspired by the sounds of Chicago, Kansas City, or even Texas. The originality of his work really takes shape when he is on stage with his musical friends, The Chuck Lambert Band. After witnessing one of his performances, it becomes obvious why many nickname him “the bluesman”.

A quartet born in 2005, Rainmakers is certainly one of the groups to keep an eye on. They pay tribute to the great blues musicians as they invite festivalgoers to travel back to the roots of this culture. They always deliver a unique sound with a natural dynamic, all in a blues/rock feel. Their performance will mostly present songs off their debut album, Long Slow Flade.

Bernard Adamus have launched their first French-language blues album, Brun, with a universal yet personal content. An atypical formation at the confluent of Delta blues and Main, this group is inspired from old American blues, everyday Montreal life, gospel, love, and country. They call to mind Plume or Gatineau in their intense, sensitive, and sometimes funny show. From a quartet to solo accapella, this will be a performance to remember! With Benoît Paradis (trombone), Éric Villeneuve (strange drums), Tai Nguyen (guitar slide, banjo), and Bernard Adamus (voice and guitar), this group is sure to wow you!
